Meet Rebecca
Clinical Social Worker & Therapist
I am state board licensed as a Clinical Social Worker independently in the states of Washington and Nevada. My career started in Washington state where upon graduation with my master’s degree in social work I directed a hospital social services department for six years. From there I gathered licensure hours and experience employed as a home health practitioner and as a Veterans Administration agency-contracted psychotherapist treating U.S. military veterans experiencing post-traumatic stress disorder and strongly associated issues (addiction, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, combat fatigue, relational issues, etc.). In 2003, after obtaining professional licensure, I branched out to my own practice in the Seattle area treating the general population, veterans, victims of domestic violence and assault. That lasted thirteen years before I was hired by the U.S. Army where I worked for over eight years before moving to Reno, NV.
In Reno I began employment for a substance use residential treatment center. I continue in that capacity as while establishing a general psychotherapy practice where I treat individuals, couples, military (veterans, reservists, and active-duty personnel), and teens. I currently offer in-office sessions in Nevada as well as online sessions for Nevada and Washington residents.
Personally, I am married; a mother of two and grandmother to four.

My Approach
I am a solution-focused therapist – in other words it is my goal when working together with a client to go after those issues that have you “up against the wall”, not sure which direction to turn. I pay attention to sticking points which are impeding your life and treat these points always with kindness and caring.
No “one-trick pony” treatment here – I believe in individualized care. I am skilled in a variety of innovative evidence-based treatment techniques (such as, EMDR, Brainspotting as well as CBT, TF-CBT and DBT) designed to assist you to realize your goals, resolve your problems, and regain your life. It is possible.
